The hunt for the perfect arm piece can be quite overwhelming; with so many styles and designs available to us, it quite easy to get side-tracked from finding the ideal handbag to fit our needs. So don’t forget the basics.  Know the functionality of each type of bag.
 

THE SHOULDER BAG

A shoulder bag is the most common style of bag for women. It is preferred by many because it can easily be carried. It usually has a single strap or a double strap that goes over the shoulders. This multipurpose bag can be paired with either casual or formal attire.
 

THE SATCHEL BAG

Is professional chic your style? If so, this structured arm piece is definitely the bag for you. The satchel is basically your 2 shoulder strap bag but with elongated straps, locking hardware and a wide, flat bottom. THE HOBO BAG

A bag style that was named after a post man’s bag.  The messenger bag is a trendy looking bag that’s increasingly becoming an urban fashion icon. THE BAGUETTE BAG

French bread anyone? Baguette bags are rectangular in shape. It’s relatively long from side to side and quite short from top to bottom. Basically, it’s like a baguette with a handle.
 

THE CLUTCH BAG
